    New ecological expanding agent PENTANE
In 2002, misa decided to remove the expanding agents (hcfc and hfc) from the mvs plant that are harmful to the ozone layer and responsible of greenhouse effects: instead, they began to use pentane only, whose molecule, easily degradable, has no pollution.
the introduction of pentane has enabled a further improvement of the quality of the panels. after a number of tests performed since 2002 we have obtained the following results:
    - adhesion foam sheet has reached very high values (sometimes exceeding 200kpa) so that average values are within the range 140-150 kpa.
    - the cellular structure of the foam is fine and very regular. thanks to this as well as to the excellent adhesion of the sheets, the thermal conductivity, although initially a bit higher than that of the panels expanded with hcfc or hfc, with time, unlike the latter, remains quite constant and there is a change of behavior, on the long run the pentane expanded panel ensures a better thermal insulation.
